Leslye taking the Chilkoot Trail Hike and Float Tour.  The old Indian trail is 33 miles long and was used from 1896-1899 during the Klondike gold rush.
Along the trail a hiker discovers a piece discarded by one of the thousands of prospectors during The Gold Rush.
The second part of the tour was a raft ride down The Klondike River
Coming down the river you can see Face Mountain.  The face is horizontal looking up.

Pictures of Tommy and Tom on an excursion to Davidson Glacier.  These picture are where we beached after traveling about 50 miles south from Skagway.   From there we took 2 old school busses about a mile (?) through some forested area, to some 31-foot powered kayaks. Pics below are the Davidson Glacier and were taken from the kayak. We subsequently "beached" the kayaks about 300-400 yards from the Glacier, and then walked to within 200-300 feet of the Glacier face.
